Jane Seamans Swan, beloved wife of David Frederick Swan of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina died June 11, 2018 at Duke University Hospital in Durham. Jane fought a long hard battle with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer and finally passed away peacefully at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.
She was born in Boston, MA, April 23, 1956, the daughter of Diana Fraser Seamans and the late James Otis Seamans of Concord, MA and New London, NH. She lived much of her life in Massachusetts. She graduated from Concord Academy, received her BA in Government and Art with History Concentration from Colby College Maine. She went on to earn her MBA at Cornell University. Professionally she was a Sr Business Analyst and worked for prestigious firms like Credit Suisse, IBM, Met life and Fidelity Investments.
She was an accomplished artist, musician and photographer. She loved the outdoors and gave generously to the Wildlife Foundation and the Humane Society throughout her life. She was a loving caring wife and humanitarian and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, mother, her brother and sister-in-law Richard and Eleanor Seamans, nephews James and wife Josee of New Brunswick, Canada, Timothy and wife Katharine of Franklin, MA, and niece Katherine Seamans of Dallas, TX, as well as grand-nephews and nieces, and two cousins, Nathalie Binney of Salem, MA and Henry Binney of Plymouth, ME. She is also survived by her husband's children, whom she loved dearly, Kathy Swan Ewing of Pennsylvania and Stacia Swan Hart, Michael Frederick Swan, Michelle Yohanna Swan all of Chicago, Il. She will also be missed by her loving munsterlander dog Max and Siamese cat Cato.
She will have two memorial services.
