Green Funeral
Today people are more eco-conscious than ever. We can offer 100% green/vegan funerals at a low cost that honors the beliefs and ethics of both those that have passed as well as the families that remain. If you are looking for an environmentally conscious burial or simply a service that is natural, we can provide this to you.
There is currently no cemetery in North Carolina that could truly be labeled a “green” cemetery. Most require burial vaults as well as clear land of all vegetation. This being said, we can make your services as green as possible. Our funeral home has converted some of our vehicles to E85 ethanol, beginning the process of installing Solar power, light our home with high efficiency light bulbs, have re-insulated the home, and use as much natural light and heat as possible. * Outer Burial Containers are not required by the State of North Carolina; however, most cemeteries require them. Whether or not your burial location would require a vault would be disclosed upon making arrangements
** This price does not include taxes on merchandise sold. This also does not include the cost of a burial plot or opening and closing of the grave (expenses paid directly to the cemetery). In addition, other costs such as a family car, register book, and use of the funeral home for services or visitation would increase this cost.
