Marvin James Holland, Jr.
Dateline: Willow Springs
Marvin James Holland, Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home June 24. James was a one-of-a-kind character of many talents, who truly loved his mother, Mavis Baker Holland Gunter, who survives him. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin James Holland. James is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of special friends from all walks of life. During the most recent two years two special cousins, Phyllis Baker Hall and Janet Baker Lessard, assisted James during his many surgeries and recoveries. While James suffered through many disabilities, he never complained about his troubles.
Per James’ wishes, he will be cremated and there will not be a formal service. A special family gathering will be held at a later date. An informal visitation will be at Williford Funeral Home, 201 E. Academy St., Fuquay-Varina on Thursday, June 26, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
