Richard Horton

Richard Owen Horton, 61, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Mr. Horton was born in Wake county to the late Albert Winfield and Frances Dean Horton.
Mr. Horton is survived by his brothers Thomas W. Horton (wife Brenda) and Allen W. Horton, sisters Connie H. Pennington (husband Walter) and Darlene Horton, nephews Jason Pennington, Blake Horton, and Kaleb Parrott, neices Amanda and Kasey Parrott.
Richard’s final wishes were that there be a small family ceremony and the family will be honoring Richard’s desires. Friends are welcome to visit the family at the home of Darlene Horton. Services entrusted to Williford Funeral Home, 552-2211.

My condolences to the Horton Family. Richard was a very humble, loving and kind man. I worked with him for years and spoke to him often. He will be deeply missed.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire Horton family. Richard was a dear friend and I will cherish the memories. I ran side by side with him in our trucking businesses for many years. He was a special person. If we can do anything for his family, please let us know. Sincere thoughts and prayers to you all.

My prayers are with Richard’s family.I have known Richard for 40 years and he was a kind and caring person. We spent many years working together and having lots of talks.The loss of Richard will be felt deep in the hearts of those that cared for him.May God Bless each one of you.
