Vicky Ryals Slater, 50, passed away at home on Sunday, May 18, 2008. Ms. Slater was born in Wake county to the late Wilbur and Joyce Ryals.
Ms. Slater is survived by her daughter Kristal Wright and husband Wesley, sister Toni Laughlin and husband Tim, grandchild Kandace Wright, and nephew Tanner Laughlin. She also leaves behind Lott Slater and Pat and Walter Slater.

Toni and family…I am soooooooo sorry about the passing of Vicky….you know I loved her dearly. I hope she is at peace and in heavan with you mother! I love you Toni.

Tonie, I am so sorry about Vickie, I almost feel as if I have lost a daughter because of the growing up years. I love you both and you take care of yourself. I will keep all of you in my prayers. She is in a better place and maybe she has found peace.

Toni, I am so sorry to hear about Vicky, I thought a great deal of her. She was such a beautiful person inside and out while she was here on earth, and now she will be one of God’s angel’s in heaven. She will always be with all of us in our hearts and her spirit will last forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. God Bless, Love You, Mean It…Sandy

Toni, Mom and I were saddened when we heard of Vicky’s passing. I know that time, the love of your family/friends, remembering happier days, and most of all faith in God will bring you through this hard time. We send you our love and prayers…LaRue and Vickie

I am so sorry to hear about vicky’s passing. She has influnced me in so many ways. She has been a friend and mentor to me. I use to work with Vicki about 10 years ago. I knew every day she was working it was going to be a good day. She never failed to make me smile and laugh. She was a fantastic person. Toni, my heart goes out to you as well. I got the privlege of meeting you as well awhile back. You and your family will be in my prayers.

My sister in law, Vicky, never wronged me in the 17 years I knew her. I felt that she always supported me and we rarely opposed each other on petty issues.
I will miss her greatly.
